ABA Therapy

What is ABA therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the application of the principles of behavior and our basis for comprehensive, individualized therapy. At Hands of Hope ABA, we focus on improving desired behaviors and reducing undesired behaviors as a means to teach a variety of skills. Interventions using ABA principles have long been established as effective in treating individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other related disorders.

What can ABA be used for?

ABA can be used for any behavior. If it can be observed, ABA principles exist that can be used to either increase or decrease that behavior. As a discipline, ABA providers are charged with the improvement of socially significant behaviors (i.e. communication, social, academic, adaptive living, gross and fine motor, personal self-care, and many others). Our goal is to increase skill acquisition and decrease any undesired behaviors based on an individualized plan with family input.
